Quick answer

The organiser says Mozart performed in the Residenz court chapel, but the palace's own page on the chapel does not mention it and no dated record turned up. What is documented is that Mozart's opera Idomeneo premiered in the Residenz's court theatre on 29 January 1781, and that he visited Munich in 1762, 1774–75, 1777, 1778 and 1780–81.

The claim on the ticket

The organiser describes the court chapel as a room in which Mozart also performed concerts, and the booking page repeats the claim. The Residenz's own page on the chapel, which covers its building, dedication and altars, does not mention Mozart. I could not find a dated record of a performance in the chapel, so treat the claim as the organiser's, and do not book expecting a documented Mozart date. It is plausible that a young musician played at the court that employed the finest players in Bavaria, but plausible is not the same as recorded. What is recorded is below.

A prodigy at the electoral court

Mozart's first Munich visit was in 1762, when his father Leopold brought the children to play before Elector Maximilian III Joseph of Bavaria. On successive evenings the children performed for the elector. That was the start of the family's long tour of the courts of Europe. Wikipedia's account of the tour is one of the few places where the visit is recorded, and it places the performances at the elector's court. It does not name a room, so the chapel is neither confirmed nor excluded by it.

Munich in 1774 and 1775

Mozart and his father returned to Munich from 6 December 1774 until March 1775. The visit did not bring Mozart a position, but it brought a success on the stage. His opera La finta giardiniera, written in Munich in January 1775 when he was 18, received its first performance on 13 January at the Salvator Theater in Munich. That was the Salvator Theater, a different house from the Residenz theatre, so this premiere does not belong to the palace. It does belong to the story of how Munich audiences came to know Mozart's stage music, and it set the ground for the commission that followed.

Job-hunting in 1777 and 1778

In September 1777 Mozart left Salzburg with his mother in search of employment. The first stop in Munich offered no permanent position, and they moved on to Augsburg in October. After leaving Paris in September 1778 he lingered in Mannheim and Munich, still hoping for an appointment outside Salzburg. These visits were not triumphs. They matter because they show Mozart as a musician looking for work at the Munich court, and the sources consulted do not record a performance in a court room on either trip.

Idomeneo in the court theatre

The firm link between Mozart and the Residenz is a theatre, not the chapel. In 1780 the Elector Karl Theodor commissioned Mozart and the librettist Giambattista Varesco to write Idomeneo for a court carnival. It premiered on 29 January 1781 at the Cuvilliés Theatre, the Old Residence Theatre, which the palace built in the 1750s. According to Wikipedia's account of the Bavarian State Orchestra, Mozart conducted the court musicians in the premiere. The theatre was damaged in the Second World War and reopened in 1958 on another site within the Residenz, with a performance of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro.

The Mannheim musicians

Mozart wrote Idomeneo for a court orchestra that had changed since his childhood visit. In 1778, just after Karl Theodor moved his court from Mannheim to Munich, 33 musicians of the famous Mannheim orchestra followed him and brought new precision to the Munich court orchestra, according to Wikipedia. Mozart had known Mannheim's players from his own travels. When he conducted the Idomeneo premiere in 1781, he conducted that combined ensemble. The orchestra of the Bavarian court is a direct ancestor of today's Bavarian State Orchestra, which plays at the National Theatre next to the Residenz.

What you will hear

The organiser names Bach, Vivaldi, Haydn and Mozart among the composers on its chapel programmes, and the programme changes from date to date. So Mozart may or may not feature on the evening you choose, and the booking page for your date is the place to check before you pay. If hearing Mozart matters most, choose a date whose programme names him. If the chapel and the palace matter more, the date matters less, and the claim of a Mozart performance in the room is an added curiosity, not the reason to go.
